How do you create a drop down list that can handle entire paragraphs? I work in a doctors office and there are 3 types of stress testing we do, and the forms for each are allt eh same except one paragraph. Instead of have 3 diffrent forms and files, how can I just make a selection inside the document that will show the information I need, then I can print it and go?

Thanks for all the help.

My suggestion would be to create three AutoText entries for the three paragraphs and save them with the template. In the template, I would put three check boxes which would select the appropriate paragraph and remove the other check boxes.

Or, you could again create the three AutoText entries and then when a user opens a new document from it, run an AutoOpen macro that checks to see which user is opening the document and inserts the correct paragraph (AutoText).

The solution will need a little knowledge of macros and VBA coding though.

I am with tf1 on this. Have three AutoText entries.

How, exactly, you would use them depends on exactly what you are doing. I am not clear on what:

"how can I just make a selection inside the document that will show the information I need"

actually means.

Do you want to have the choice up front, when a new document is created? Then tf1's suggestion of opening macro would be good.

If it is a "live" operation - the user comes to where the A, B, or C paragraph should go, and makes a decision - then just AutoText will be fine. They simply use the appropriate AutoText.
