drop down box not selecting what i choose

i have a drop down box and for some reason it is not selecting a record i choose. it is a simple name combo box it just doesnt let me click on this persons name, any advice?

Is the "Enable" property set to Yes?

hi guys

sorry for the late response, i have checked locked and enable both are yes, however i can not seem to see a bind property.
still not leting me select a specific record??

a little more information for you on the issue i have. i think it has something to do with the actions i am doing after they click on the box (see below code) i have done more boxes but as soon as i put any event procedure they do not work.???
