I'm not sure you can do this but here goes.

I want a user to be able to drop and create tables on a specific database but not drop the database that they are allowed to drop and create tables on and not create any new databases either. What privileges must thay have to vbe able to do this.

I have looked and looked but it seems to me that if your allowed to drop a table within a database, you can drop the database too. Please tell me I'm wrong :)

Can't you just limit the options available to the user?

I think you're right about the user privileges, if u give them privilege to drop a table they can also drop a db but if you don't give them the option to drop th db I don't see how they can, inless the are intentionally trying.

Can you not just create a form which allows them to do only the things you want them to do. Limit their choices to only dropping and creating tables.
