Hi !

Can somebody tell me, how to drop the Oracle TNS-Listener Service an a Win NT/2000 machine.
(not deleting the Registry-Key...)

thanx

Look for LISTENER.ORA in your Oracle directories. You should be able to edit it and remove the entry you want. I've done this on Unix, and the same file exists for Oracle on NT, so I think it should do the trick. Good luck!

If you mean, how do you get rid of the service, there is a program on the NT/2000 Resource Kit called SRVINSTW.EXE that allows you to create and remove services. If you have access to the resource kit, just execute that and follow the instructions - very easy. You can even remove services remotely if you have the correct privs.
