Driving a Visio Diagram with Excel

Is it possible to create a Visio Document, in this case a site map, based on dimensions stored in an excel spreadsheet. I would like to create an application that automatically sizes the layout based on the dimensions of the building I am planning for. I also would like to create stencils that are automatically sized based on the info in the spreadsheet.

Redoing site map after site map is really getting to me, and I would like to find a better way. ANy suggestions?

Visio is fully open to automation, so it is possible to use information from an Excel spreadsheet to place and resize objects. The Developing Visio Solutions that came with earlier versions of Visio or Developing Microsoft Visio Solutions, which is an MS book that does not come with Visio are good starting points. A copy of the information should be ion the MSDN website.
