I'm running Windows XP SP3 & whilr playing Command & Conquer 3 I had the blue screen with DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error message. I shut down the PC & now when I try to restart it hangs up at the first splash screen. I don;t think it's getting past memory check to load the BIOS I have an ASUS motherboard. Any ideas?

Does it mention a file as part of the blue screen like "dipstick.sys" If so, it could be associated with that driver.

I'd do the memory test or 50/50 swap procedure first and then if you can boot to safe mode, roll back the driver or update the one mentioned.

I agree with the suggestions sofar...

I would also go into the BIOS and load DEFAULT values, in case you either purposefully or inadvertently OC'd the RAM or CPU...
