Hi!

We are running a dedicated server for more than two years now (windows 2000 server Sp4). 4 days ago, aour server started to show a blue screen every time the HDD got under heavy load:

STOP 0x000000D1 (0x00000131, 0x00000012
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Adress EB4275BA ata1200a.sys

As per Microsoft this error means, that it could be a driver problem or defect hardware. Our ISP already checked the ram and even the raid controller (Adaptec 1200A). But no results. The error still remains. The driver being used for the raid controller is the last available one from adaptec (1.3.0) and there is no newer one!

Our server is running Windows 2000 SP4 and ALL Patches (even Rollup 1 for SP4).

Anyone got an idea?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried replacing the current driver with a "fresh" copy. It could be the driver file is corrupted. Also although there is no new driver available, can you check to see if there is an updated firmware for the Raid card and drives.

Thanks for your answere...

Actually I don´t know. I will ask my ISP - for they did most of the work (as a remote hand).

I will let you know later.

I finally got the information from my ISP.
Ther driver has been uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Even the latest Firmware is installed.

Any further ideas?

Thanks!
