'driver template.xls' is protected

Hello All,
The files were deleted by Windows when chkdsk was automatically executed. Hard drive inbstalled as an external USB drive and FileRestorePlus utilized to scan for deleted documents which found them all; PDFs, Word and Excel files. Either when opening the restored Excel or Powerpont/Word files, this comes up:
'driver template.xls' is protected
Any ideas?
I did look for that file names driver template.xls in the retore application's selections but it is not there.

'driver template.xls' is a USER generated file, not any sort of Excel system file.
