Driver problem with the graphic card on a Sparc Solaris 8

recently, I just patched my solaris 8 on a Sparc machine (Ultra 10) and when I rebooted I got problems with the X windows : I only get 8 bit colors. My graphic card is an ATI Rage Pro Turbo PCI (onboard).

I downloaded the latest patch clusters for Solaris 8 sparc from :

Can anyone tell me how to configure X11 to work with 24bit colors? I am a linux guy, so I use to configure Xfree from /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
Is there a similar file in Solaris? or what tools should I use to configure Xwindows?
Do you think my problem is graphic drivers related? It was working fine before I patched my Solaris!
