Driver disabled cache

I just turned on my windows 2k server which I use for learning purposes and found the following msg logged in the sytem log"The driver disabled the cache on \device\harddisk0\DRO" The disk is an old 40g western digital a friend gave me
Does this mean the disk has some errors. Pls help
