How to know the drive status thru command line?when thre is a problem with drive ...like drive is down..what r the possible solutions for bringing the drive up.Ur answer is appreciated
 
To see if a drive is down ...
vmoprcmd -h <media server>
This will list all drives and the relevant status for each drive e.g.
PENDING REQUESTS

<NONE>

DRIVE STATUS

Drv Type Control User Label RecMID ExtMID Ready Wr.Enbl. ReqId
0 dlt TLD - No - -
1 dlt TLD - No - -
2 dlt DOWN-TLD - No - -
3 dlt TLD - No - -

ADDITIONAL DRIVE STATUS

Drv DriveName Shared Assigned Comment
0 titan_1 No -
1 titan_2 No -
2 titan_3 No -
3 titan_4 No -

As you can see - One drive is down, to get it up ...
vmoprcmd -h <media server> -up <drive index>
Int his case the drive index is 2.
