Forgive my ignornace but I am a unix person and consider myself a rookie when working with proliant systems with smart array cards.

I am looking for a utility for testing drives. Something that will reformat the drive and look for bad blocks so I know they are good and can put them on a shelf for later use if I have a failed drive. Is smart start the only utility?

Thanks

CA

FYI;

I had to use Array configuration utility to create luns on drives, then used scsi toolbox utility for drive testing.
