how can I get the drive name and modify its sharing property in vb5?? Please, need help

Have a look at Dan Appleman's book on the Win32 API and Visual Basic. Getting the drive name is quite easy and you don't even need the Win32 API for that (there's a standard control) but modifying the Share properties from within VB is a bit heavy, so you'll need the book. Have a look at <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> for some details.
Should be fun though - just take a lot of backups <smile>
