I get this error message when trying to access my DVD burner on one of my servers with a blank CD in it (it works just fine when an already burned cd is in it).
Code:
D:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function
After various Google searches, it appears as in XP it's easy to fix: right click the drive, properties, and click the Recording tab and check the check box.

However, this is not the case with Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition. There is no recording tab.

What should I do in order to resolve this issue? This is a fresh install of Windows 2003 and no other burning tools are installed.

The only issue with CD-R described in Q317525 is that data can not be deleted from the disk. I have a similar issue with a one of my HP recorders you think would be compatible with a Compaq, but windows refuses to recognize it. I would check you DVD burner is fully compatible.

Working towards my MCSE/A and CompTIA. Any help greatly appreciated.
