After attempting to restore the C partition with Drive Image Pro, unsuccessfully (it said the file was corrupt), I get a message saying: "Operating system not found"

Is there something I can do to fix this?
I guess that attempt screwed the booting sectors...

Thanks,

JDL

Oh no! This doesn't look good :(
I just went into FDISK and I can't see the booting partition. I guess the 1st step D.I.P. took was erasing the partition in which it attempted to write from the corrupt file :(
Should you see something I could do now please don't hesitate to let me know

bit confused - are you wanting to recover data from the partition as it was BEFORE you started the restore?

Or suggestions to fix your corrupt restore file?

Which operating system/filestore type are we talking here?

I am sorry wolluf, I can't blame you for being confused.
I was lucky enough to find that the only file being corrupt was the one in the CD. The original one, still in my pc, was good. So all I did was creating another CD with the original restoration file and it worked :)

later,

JDL
