Drive Image 2002 will not install

I have been repeatedly trying to install Drive Image 2002 on a new XP Home system. The installation has been failing under XP SP1 and SP2. The same program ran without a problem on a previous PC but I can’t remember if it had been installed before SP1. Does anyone have some experience with this program under WIN XP. (By the way, Symantec has been frustratingly unhelpful)
Some of the current error messages are:

Error Number 0x80040702
Description failed to load dll:pQFEATUR

Error Number 0x80040702
Description failed to load dll:pQUTILS

Install Shield
1628 failed to complete installation

Error -1603 Fatal error during installation.
consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more help
