Could someone explain any
dangers related to compressing
my "D" drive? Also, is the
Windows "Compression Agent"
a good tool for the job?
If not, suggestions please.

Thank you all

Hi;

There are no real dangers to compressing a hard drive, unless of course you do it during a raging thunderstorm.

I personally wouldn't compress a drive simply because of the processing overhead. Files need to be de-compressed before they can be used and recompressed afterwards. If you are running short of disk space it can be a temporary solution.

Ed Please let me know if the sugestion(s) I provide are helpful to you.
