Any help would be great.

HI,

Is the ARCserve server and the server being recovered in two differennt domains??

I'm askin this coz the error 1789 means

The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed.
you can see this is if you type Net Helpmsg 1789 in a command prompt.

However, since DR works based on the Netbios Name you have to setup the LMHOST & host files on both servers.

cheers

I have a similar problem, except I'm doing this on a ML380 server running Windows 2003. I get the following in DR.log:
[0000] Error in connecting to the remote server [1231], at attemp : [28]
05/10/05 05:30:01 [0000] Error in connecting to the remote server [1231], at attemp : [29]
05/10/05 05:30:04 [0000] Error in connecting to the remote server 1231
05/10/05 05:30:04 [0000] DRInitializeModule function failed, return value 1004
05/10/05 05:30:04 [61166] W2KDR: End of InitializeModuleW2KDRMode
05/10/05 05:30:04 [61166] W2KDR: InitializeModuleW2KDRMode return <default>

Comparing chalk and cheese here as far as the OS goes the recovery process is significantly different for Win2K3 than for Win2K. The upshot of the error is that it looks like your network stack is not loaded on the machine your trying to recover, as you give no further details on what you're running, there is nothing else I can suggest.
