I'm using SSAS 2005 and Excel 2003 with the XL addin installed. I understand the XL addin is no longer supported by Microsoft.
I set up drillthrough for the cube and enabled drillthrough for a role.
In Excel 2003 I have a "Cube Analysis" menu option as a result of installing the addin. The menu option has a "Navigation" menu item with all sub items disabled including the "Drillthrough" option.
However, the cube does allow "drillthrough" on a co-worker's PC with Excel 2007 installed. I just can't get the "drillthrough" to work in Excel 2003 with the XL addin.
Any suggestions?
