Drilling in document

Hi Friends,


Can i drill from a document (has a report on it) to other document(it would have two reports).Some thing like this,i have nation level data in first document, when i drill it from that document, it should take me to other document which would have nation level data and region level data (nation level data & regaion level data are two seperate reports combined in that document).

Hi naveen,

Yes, you can. But to do it you will have to customize your asp pages.

The general ideia is the following:
Hold the answer of the prompt of the first document in a session or in a xml file (I suggest to hold it in a xml file).
Use the MsgID as the identification and the link between of the prompt answer to used from the first document to the secound document.
Bring the ID of your region to the first document (but you don't need to show it the to user).
Include the &quot;<pif pin='2'>xxx</pif>&quot; (the xxx is your region ID) to your xml file.
Apply the xml to answer the prompt of your secound document.

That's it.
