If the subreport is a fixed size (not "Can Grow") the you can create a large empty text object and place this over the subreport. Move the subreport to the back so it is behind the empty text object. That should prevent the user from drilling down on the subreport or even clicking on it.
But if the subreport is set to grow, I am not sure there is a way.
