We are using BO XI and running reports in infoview in overnight batch.
we have several reports with multiple sub-reports that work OK... each sub-report shows in-line as if it was a single report. Problem is there could be 50+ pages and all the details from all the subreports may not be appiclabe. What the user wants is to only see the summary line for each of sub-reports and then dril down into the desired one. Problem is when you do that a separate tab opens. Has anyone found a way arround this. On-demand sub-reports have behave the same but also hit the database again which is not allowed. We are using Universes. The user is not allowed to refresh or run the report, batch only. I haven't found any solutions to this problem.
By the way if you use the Web Intelligence product (WEBI), it does behave this way. You get the + sign on each line and the drill down is in-line not in a separate tab. Unfortuately WEBI has some other limitations. It's too bad the 2 products are not integrated. Any sugestions would be appreciated.
