Drill down in sub-report !!

Hi there,

I have a requirement to develop a daily sales report for various shops grouped by area which is similar to cross-tab.

the report should look like this:

SALES SUMMARY AREA/SHOP WISE

|jan1 jan2 jan3 jan4
------------------------------------
Area1 |x xxx xxx xxx
shop1 |xxx xxx xxx xxx
shop2 |xxx xxx xxx xxx
shop3 |xxx xxx xxx xxx
-------------------------------------
Area2 |
shop1 |xxx xxx xxx xxx
shop2 |xxx xxx xxx xxx
shop3 |xxx xxx xxx xxx

Firstly,the report should display the Area wises sales and on drill-down should display the shops sales.(drill-down is the requirement). i generated a report that displays all the shop in the area just like the one mentioned above using the cross-tab.

The main issue with the cross-tab being that it does not allow drill-down. Can anybody help me out in this regard.

I think you'll have to use a manual crosstab. Create your columns by formulas like:

if {sales.yourstringdate} = "Jan1" then {sales.amount}

if {sales.yourstringdate} = "Jan2" then {sales.amount}//etc.

Place these in the detail section under the appropriate column headings. Group on {Area} and on {Shop} and insert summaries on your {sales.amount} field for all groups. Now you should be able to drill down on the summaries.
