I am attempting to setup a drg in my testbed. I am running BC12 Sp10 and have configured it as follows.
I can call out from the DRG extensions to IP, analogue and digital extensions and all is good. Any incoming call to the drg results in no speech. The only extra clue I can provide is when calling from the IP phone to the DRG I have sidetone on the IP phone up until the call is answered, then the IP phone has no sidetone.

I have experienced this problem before. The first thing to check is the configuration of any router in between. Check that all ports (TCP & UDP) are open.

yee NEED latest firmware on both DRG (R2G289) and ELU32 (R6A) to have it work properly!

cpux10, I have setup everything through out of the box switch's with everything open and the same issue still exists.

whosrdaddy, I am running drg firmware r2f and my vendor support have got it working in their testbed with elu firmware as per my print and drg firware as per mine. I actually sent my second drg to them as they didn't have a newer drg in their lab.

When doing a signal trace on unit iplp on an i/c call to the drg there is more action on my vendor's tesbed than on mine.
It is now being escalated to E, so with anyluck I should have an answer soonish.

devil, your ELU32 software is plain old, you need at least R4G firmware to have correct dialogue with r2f DRg. SP10 implies you need to have R6A on your ELU32...

I will be upgrading the ELU32 firmware but doubt that will fix it as TAC have the same firmware and their's does work.

While I'm waiting I'll give it a shot though.

what is the firmware of your ip phones?
IPERP; ?

please provide printout between monotags [tt] your printout [/tt] for easier reading...

I upgraded the firmware of the ELU32 with the same result.

Just for the hell of it I connected the LAN port of the DRG to the same switch the WAN port was connected to (left the WAN port plugged in) and the DRG now functions correctly.

As an aside: At the production site which is running BC13 soon after entering IPBOI:......... the MD110 restarted. Upgraded the firware of the ELU32 from 3d to 6a and all was well.

Hi,
I had the same issue with my DRG22i (one way speech) in the end we sent it back to Ericsson. We tested this in my lab and it failed. So, I took it to site which had one working and replaced it with mine... and it still had one way speech.

AS having the LAN and WAN ports plugged in to the same switch isn't ideal I did some further testing. The solution is to have the LAN port configured on a different IP range/subnet as the WAN port.

In my case.
WAN port-
IP 10.100.135.248, mask 255.255.248.0, router 10.100.135.254

LAN port-

IP 192.168.1.1, mask 255.255.255.0, router 192.168.1.1

The DRG works i/c and o/g calls correctly.
