My website home page has over 70 thumbnail images. This page loads fine in Firefox, Chrome, & Safari but in Internet Explorer 9 it takes 50 seconds to load.

Please advise. What can I do to fix this. Should I put only 10 images per page and create a continue link at the bottom of each page?

Are there other ways to fix this issue?

Here is my website with the slow loading issue in Internet Explorer.
It loads fine in Firefox, Chrome and Safari but takes about 50 seconds. No one will wait that long and I am losing business because of this.

I am new to website building and would really appreciate any help.

I would start by validating the site, and fixing the errors. You seem to have 77 errors there which may or may not be causing some issues with IE.

Then I would, if this is important for your business, learn a bit about modern website design. Get rid of all those tables, which in IE mostly will not show up until all their content has loaded. so with all those images, it may take a moment before everything is ready to be shown.

The images themselves have good file sizes so should not cause trouble on their own.

Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Thank you for your reply. I am afraid that this is way over my head since I do not know html language. Is it possible that you could fix all my errors and then send me the code to replace in my Dreamweaver page? If so, how much would you charge me to do that? Are you in the US. If so, my phone number is 760-393-2047

Patricia,

Also a load test on Firebug shows your site takes almost 9 seconds to load in general. Also different browsers load images differently so that also plays a role.

In the end I (we) judge how fast a page loads by doing speed tests. Not by what we see and how fast it loads but tests that check the DOM and how fast all page elements are actually loaded using a 3rd party server (or multiple and then taking averages).
