I am trying to connect to a mysql database in dreamweaver using php page. Im running on win98 with PWS as webserver. when i try to add the db connection, I get an 'unidentified error' message. I've checked out the Macromedia support page and gone through their two solutions (i.e modifying the php.ini file at the include_path line, and also modifying the dreamweaver MMHTTPDB file (line 15). Neither of these worked. can anyone help?

Hi glenc175,

Is using apache an option for you? instead of PWS.

If it is, go here Look for phpdev4 and download it.
This is a full package of php, apache, mysql and perl
Once you have it installed, which you just have to unzip to C:/ drive .
Then hooking to Dreamweaver is fairly easy.

Hope that helps !!

Later, Skater

Thanks for that, I've now installed phpdev and it's working fine.
