Dreamweaver layers, events and behaviours

Tried looking through FAQs, etc but no joy.

I want to move a layer containing a label to a fixed position so that it snaps to the correct co-ordinates - this I have managed to do using Dreamweaver MX.
However, I now want to flag up that the user has placed the label in the correct position by triggering an event e.g. popup message or a sound. How do I link these two things together? If I use onMouseUp, etc. the person could have dropped the label anywhere.

Hope this makes sense. I appreciate any help given.
