We have a need to call a UDB stored procedure on a Unix server from an application running on an OS/390 machine. We are successful if we CONNECT to the remote (Unix) server. However, it seems that we should be able to execute the UDB SP via a 3-part name (location.schema.procedure). We have been successful doing a 3-part name remote call to another OS/390 subsystem. We have also been successful using 3-part names to select data directly from the UDB database (e.g. location.schema.tablename). However, when we try the 3-part stored procedure name down to Unix, we get a -108 return code which seems to indicate that we have too many qualifiers. I'm looking for one of two things:

1. Confirmation that a call to a midrange UDB stored procedure from OS/390 cannot use a 3-part name. If this is the case, can someone point me to the documentation that states it.

or

2. An explanation of how to make it work.

Thanks
