Is it possible to draw diagonal lines using Word's drawing tool? I mean lines that, when printed, don't look the eroded side of a pyramid. Are smooth diagonal lines possible?

What about in MS Paint? Or anywhere?

Thanks,
GS

Hi GS

I think that smooth lines are more a function of the printer rather than Word, MS Paint, etc. as I get different results depending what printer I use.

In Word 2007, using Insert ->Shapes and selecting a horizontal line it printed smoothly on an Epson Stylus C68 printer and a Phaser 860, but printed "jagged" on a Xerox WorkCenter Multi Function printer. The Epson (inkhjet) and Phaser (laser) were purchased more for their graphics and colour capabilities whereas the WorkCenter was purchased for high volume document printing.

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply, cmeagan656.

Even though it's a low-end printer (HP 920c), that fact that it can print photos and intricate designs but apparently not a simple diagonal line is confounding. I thought for sure it was the software.

Does anyone know a work around?

GS
