// If you add a minimize button to your dialog, you will need the code below
// to draw the icon. For MFC applications using the document/view model,
// this is automatically done for you by the framework.

void CDhara1Dlg::OnPaint()
{
if (IsIconic())
{
CPaintDC dc(this); // device context for painting

SendMessage(WM_ICONERASEBKGND, (WPARAM) dc.GetSafeHdc(), 0);

// Center icon in client rectangle
int cxIcon = GetSystemMetrics(SM_CXICON);
int cyIcon = GetSystemMetrics(SM_CYICON);
CRect rect;
GetClientRect(&rect);
int x = (rect.Width() - cxIcon + 1) / 2;
int y = (rect.Height() - cyIcon + 1) / 2;

// Draw the icon
dc.DrawIcon(x, y, m_hIcon);
}
else
{
CDialog::OnPaint();
}
}

// The system calls this to obtain the cursor to display while the user drags
// the minimized window.
HCURSOR CDhara1Dlg::OnQueryDragIcon()
{
return (HCURSOR) m_hIcon;
}

Try changing the "CDC myDC" under 'void myCircle' to CClientDC myDC(this); and call the function when the dialog loads under 'BOOL CDhara1Dlg::OnInitDialog()' not in the about box...

Hope this helps.

the code is simple get handle of dialog and use the ellipse function to get the circle.

Add the this code to your 'myCircle' function:

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
CClientDC dlgDC(this);//Device Context

CPen penRed(PS_SOLID, 2, RGB(255, 0, 0));//Define Pen&colour
dlgDC.SelectObject(&penRed);//Select the pen

CBrush brGreen(RGB(0, 255, 0));//Define brush & colour
dlgDC.SelectObject(&brGreen);//Select the Brush

//Draw a circle with red border and a green center
dlgDC.Ellipse(100, 100, 200, 200);
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

to call the 'myCircle' function add 'myCircle()' to a button or if you want the circle to appear when the dialog opens add it to the 'OnInitDialog()' message hander. 'OnInitDialog()' is what happens when the dialog open...
