In my logon script (which runs from cscript, so in a 'DOS' box) I surround the 'Good Morning, John Doe' greeting with asterisks.

It looks OK but I'd quite like to surround it with a better looking box. I'm sure I can remember ASCII codes for box corners, sides and tops and bottoms but all I can find are codes for the pipe (|) and the underscore (_), and these don't look anything like as good:
Code:
 _________________________
| |
| Good morning, John Doe! |
|_________________________|

See what I mean? It looks rubbish.

Am I going mad? Or am I just missing something?

Have you looked at (start->run) charmap.exe?

No.

(30 minutes later....)

OK, your clue was good enough to send me on my way. I've got 'em!

Cheers, Remou.
