I bought X3 for my sheetmetal business and I'm encountering a problem hopefully someone can help me fix. The problem is when I use the rectangle tool to create a sguare I select it then export it in DXF format which my plasma table will accept. But when I try to draw the same square manually with the bezier, pen or any drawing tool the plasma system won't import it. I have a friend with corel 8 and we can't figure this out. Is anyone else having this problem? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I don't know as I don't use dxf but try posting this on the Corel news group someone there may help if no joy here.

I havent used DXF format in years, and even then, I only used it as an intermediate step to get to a native language of a router engraving table.
One option is to try converting it to curves before exporting. Another option is to find a different language that Corel can export to, and AutoCad can import (might even try DWF). In version 7 there was a custom export option under the HPGL filter. Tweaking and creating my own settings under there provided my best results. I am not sure if X3 still supports those options, as I can barely remember how to do it from within version 7. In doing a quick look in the filters, there are quite a few options for Vector filters. You might play with some of those.
