I just found out that in order to upgrade to Succession 3 I need to replace the 8MB simm on our SSC card with a 16mb simm. Does anyone know of an alternative to the stick provided in the NTDK19AA upgrade kit? Is it ECC or something more special? I tried a regular 16mb parity module I have and it did not work. The switch replied with a parity error.

DRAM for NTDK20SSC Card

Its not that easy.
In order to upgrade to rel 3 you have to check the board version on your SSC card.
The versions below are NOT supported due to CPU memory failures when run on new software releases)
NTDK20AB rel 1-5
NTDK20CA rel 1-5
(CA is a field upgraded AB card)
As a flash daughterboard you should use NTTK25.They are not compatible with the boards above.
If you login to LD 135 and types STAT MEM
you will have a printout of the different memories on the CPU card.
This is what it should be on a rel 3.0 system
SRAM 128 MB
DRAM 32 MB
Program store 64MB
Flash drive 16MB
I know that it is possible to squeeze in rel 3 on other memory sizes, but I would not recommend it...
