Dragging guide on to a spread?

In ID, when I drag a guide from the top of the page, it only extends across one of the two pages in my spread.

Is there a way I can drage a guide and make it extend across the whole spread?

Just release your mouse in the pasteboard area to the right or left of your pages. It'll put the guide all the way across your spread (and into the pasteboards).
