Hello,

I am having loads of trouble with my Drag & Drop Game, & it's driving me crazy. I have coded it three different ways and still can't get the blasted thing to work. What seems to be the exact problem every time is when dragging one movie to the other, it won't recognize that the other movie is there unless it is dragged to a specific location (to be determined at the specific time of dragging by some mythical Flash force). I have added a "center" command to aid in the detection but it's still not working.

I have posted the .fla file to If anyone can take a look @ it & let me know what bonehead thing I am missing, I would be EXTREMELY appreciative.

Thanks!!
Samantha I really don't care what I sing, and I really doubt you know what I mean...

First of all, be careful with your naming conventions. You are using both "ClientWork" and "clientwork".

Does that make a difference? That might be my problem... I really don't care what I sing, and I really doubt you know what I mean...

It is good practice to use a consistent naming convention. Some languages are case sensitive, so it's good to get into the habit. frozenpeas

I am still in need of assistance if anyone has a few minutes. The naming convention didn't solve the prob... I really don't care what I sing, and I really doubt you know what I mean...

Naming should be consistant, eventhough it seems to work in this case.
Change your hitTest to false and it should work fine!

...
if (_parent.ClientWork.hitTest(this._x,this._y, false)) {
this._x = _parent.ClientWork._x;
this._y = _parent.ClientWork._y;
...
