DR2 / DR5 Differences on Norstar 6x16

Greetings everyone,

Can someone please tell me the major differences between the two software revisions for the Norstar 616's?

I am interested in picking up a small KSU to make use of a bunch of hand-sets that I had accumulated over the years (mainly M7310's and M7324's)

Major difference between DR2 & DR5 is Call Display capability. The DR5 KSU is capable of call display information with the use of an adjunct module (CII-6).

DR2: No call display. No answer Dn's. No 'Transfer' only 'Conf/Trans'. No supervision on trunks so no external transfer or line re-direction. Only one 'Service Mode'. 7324&7100 sets are not compatible with the 6x16 Compact DR2. Not all of the buttons of the 7316E set are supported.

DR5: Call display ( one set per line pre-displays information, call display available to all when answering calls or pre-display with F code). Transfer. Supervision on trunks for external transfer and line re-direction. 3 'Service Modes'
