My COBOL compiler wont work under Vista.
I've tried compatibility mode - still wont work.
I still have my licensed copy of DR DOS 7.
Does anyone know how I can create an emulator under Vista,
to run my DRDOS, OR have any experience using any of the free DOS Emulators for Vista?
Thanks

IT depends on what you're looking for. Probably the easiest thing with the lowest overkill factor is dosbox (at Then there's always PC virtualization (Microsoft Virtual PC or VMWare) where you could install DOS on top of those softwares.

I'm sure others will be along with their thoughts, but those would be what I would try.

Problem Solved.
VMWare or XP.
Toshiba had a change of heart and now offer
a Vista to XP downgrade pack, which I used.
All my programs now work, and I can use DOS mode again.
(May still also get VMWARE).
