I created a bunch of virtual machines on 2008 Hyper-V R2. An issue came up when a user wanted to change the DPI setting or Font size in Display properties. On the Disaplay Settings tab the Advanced button is grayed out. This happens using Remote Desktop RDP client. It's the same for XP and Windows 7. However I used Dameware client ( VNC on steroids) and was able to change those settings. They are preserved for the VM. I've seen some registry hacks to do this, never tested those. The trick above is just quick and easy. I might need to use this in the future so I am glad I solved it. Hope this helps somebody too.
