Hey all,

I've got a issue here that's got me stumped.

I've got 8 DLink DP-300U print servers at a remote site.

That site(site B) and my site(Site A) are connected via a VPN.

The DP-300U's at site B will randomly quit responding to pings, print jobs, etc from Site A.

The funny thing is, if your at Site A and you use remote desktop connection to use a PC at Site B, you can ping the print server without a problem. If you HTTP into the print server and do a RESET command, once it comes back up it's accessable now from Site A.

Seems like a timeout or brownout issue.

Anyone seen anything like this before?

Thanks
ChuckG

See if there are any firmware updates for your print servers. That's where I would start.

You might also want to go over every configuration point on the print servers to make sure they don't have some setting that could be causing this.

Good luck,

Should have mentioned that in the first message.

Already verified firmware on these print servers is at the latest publicly available release.

The big kicker is these print servers are in our facility in the Netherlands. So when I called Dlink for support they told me I've got to call Dlink Netherlands for help with them.

Going to try that in just a bit.
