Downloading

Hi All, I am having a problem with downloading RAR files using Internet Download Manager. I am setting files to download overnight and often some files will download correctly but the remainder will download an .htm file of only about 30kb.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Switch to firefox, it has a built in download manager.

Your anti-virus software may be interferring with the download management.

Hi,
look at the unfinished entries in the IDM contol panel to see if the connection was lost or for some other error message -Also open the .htm file in a text editor to see what it in it.

I am a big fan of IDM ( it is faster than any other download manager I have used, even from sites that do not allow multiple connections), although I have never used the scheduling ability.

The site that IDM is downloading from might require a Login or have one of those funny boxes that wants you to read some wiggly letters or numbers and retype them in a box.

I have forgotten the technical term for the verification letters entry.
