Downloading problems

After I have installed Windows XP I´m not able to download files anymore. Every time I try I get the message: Invalid local path

Can anyone help me?

XP Home or Pro?

Downloading? How, what tool/method?

Have you tried it with administrator privileges? Maybe you are locked down to your home directory or something and you're trying to store a file into the drive root or a folder you don't have rights to?

i want to install winxp as server and win98 as client, pls give me picture illusion to do it, now 2 pc cannot sharing in each other.
