There are several ways to get your information from a PBX to a spreadsheet, but how can I do this on a Norstar? I have NRU 8.0, but am not very familiar with this. I would like to keep a hardcopy of the database of each system?

Can anyone help.

after you've installed the NRU 8.0, you need to connect to your RAD via dial up or direct connect.Minimize your remote utillities window so that your still connected but have your Desktop on the monitor. Click on "My Computer", then click on oyur "C Drive", you will then see a folder called ICRST click on that folder, then click on the "workbook" folder, at that point you need to click on the software version that applies to the software version of your Norstar. At the top of your monitor you will see ICS (next to help) on the toolbar, click that and you will see "Aquire ICS" in the top left of oyur screen, you then highlight "Full Aquisition" to get ALL SYSTEM PROGRAMMING.
Good Luck

Alright, I am getting an error when trying to connect.

"Connection to ICS failed. Map file: 'ANB02ENG' is required"

What am I doing wrong?

Can you help

What version software do you have in your Norstar, sounds like you may not have the right remote utillities software for the software version of your Norstar. You'll need to go to "Maintenance/System Version" in Config programming, to determine your software version.

There are other steps that are needed to setup your workbook in order to download. email me at erikweste@yahoo.com, and I will send you a pdf file of the NRU user guide. You need to save the workbook to your own file, as the default one is read-only, and also you will need to make changes to the template so that it matches the system you are downloading from, which this will show you how to do.

emailed you....thanks both for your patience with this. I am a PBX person (Meridian 1 and Lucent Certs, but no PBX certs).
