Ive created a web site and I have a page on it where I have movies to download. The movies are Real Player, and are not too big.....They were originaly .avi files, but using Real Producer I changed and compressed them to .rm files.

Here is whats happening, the movies are hosted on a site and on the FTP site I have set the properties of the files so that they can be edited/viewed/executed by all users. If a user clicks on the link for a movie, it downloads it to a temp folder (see a progress bar with no choice of where to download) and then once downloaded the movie plays no problems. BUT if a user wants to save the movie, there is no option to save target as. This however is visable from NT workstations that I have used, but not from Win98 machines, how is thsis possible??????
here is where the movies are located

thanks guys... Jay~

This may not help, but it works fine with IE6 and Win98, I just tried it. Nice intro by the way :)

Under WMe, I can download the movies to wherever I like by right clicking and selecting "Save target as"

Is this any help?

thanks a lot guys.
Hmmmm it's an odd one, I have NT in work and I can right click and save as, but on 98 at home I can't, I have updated my IE5 in work with the updates and tools. I dont think its an OS problem, would I be right there??? I have a few people come to me and say that they can't save target as, they were all Win98, but maybe its just a coincidence. I'll update my IE at home here and see what happens.....might try IE6 but dont want to cause any issues..... Jay~
