For the last day or so I have been having trouble with downloads. this includes pages not loading and pictures not coming and downloads of items on downloading. If something doesn't work right away then I just keep trying 3 or 4 times untill in works.

I have broadband (cable) through AT&T. I have had it for more than a year without a problem. I have not called them on this yet, for a couple reasons, one is that they are idoits and two because I don't think its them I think it my computer.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I sympathize with you regarding AT&T - I am also afflicted!!!!!

From time to time, I also have a problem similar to what you are describing and believe it to be the DNS server.

The reason that I say this is that when this trouble occurs on attempting access to a website, go to a lookup site such as enter the site name and note the actual IP number next to first line "IP address:".

Then, try to access the site by entering the actual IP into the address of your browser and see if the delay is still present.

Otherwise, this may be a personal firewall issue when your system resources are low.

Hope this sheds some light.

Rgds.
