We use our own new company font and I need to download it to the printers. We used to use the capture command in Novell but dont run Novell anymore, I need to write a user friendly script to download the font should the printer be rebooted...any ideas?

many thanks
Adam

It will depend on the printer, but the general idea is that you send a string of escape sequences to the printer, to tell it to "get ready" to receive the font, then after sending the font (downloaded to printer) you would send another string of escape sequences to the printer to tell it "you done" and if you use multiple downloaded fonts, you'll have to assign the downloaded font an internal type address, (internal to the printer) so you can logically select the desired downloaded font, with yet another string of escape sequences, at the beginning of the print job.
