Hi guys/girls

Im trying to add a link in an html page to download a pdf file. I tried to use a <a href> tag but this just seems to open the pdf document in the browser window as opposed to launching a &quot;save-as&quot; type dialog box. Is there something different about pdf's or another way to do this other than <a href>?

Sorry if this seems simple but as a non-webby-person its got me stuffed.

Cheers

Ronald

It depends on wether the client browser has a plug-in for pdf's. If the plug-in is installed, it displays in the browser. If there's no plugin, you get to save. I don't think that there's any way for you to control this behavior.
