Is it possible when downloading a file such as an exe, to disable the 'run from current location' option and just allow the user to save the file to disk ?

when you are downloading it, does it not come up with an option to save it to disk or run from current location???
If not, RIGHT CLICK on the .exe's download link instead of left click, and you will see an option for Save Target As,
click this and you can then save the .exe as it is to where ever you want on your hard drive...

good luck!! Jay~

this is the sort of thing that i want yes, i guess there is no way of controlling that from the server by adding an option to the end of the file to be downloaded (my guess is no as that would give access to the users computer)

cheers for the responses !
