I'm attempting to upgrade my database knowledge from access to SQL Server 2005. I discovered that I can test the Enterprise Edition for 6 months before I purchased the software. This is great! However, I'm not sure which version to download. There are 3 choices:

X86 Executable
X64 Executable
IA64 Executable

Could someone help me make sense of this?

The X64 or IA64 versions are for 64 bit OS. the X86 is for a 32 bit OS.

- Database performance looks fine, it must be the Network!

If you haven't specifically bought 64 bit capable hardware, don't download any of the 64 bit versions. It'll screw up badly and you'll spend days trying to clean up.. @=)
