Hi!
I am working on a medical website that will have a Shockwave Animation instruction video for people that will be having ankle surgery. In order to view the video, the person will have to download the Macromedia Shockwave player if they don't already have it. This download takes about 8 minutes with a 56k modem, which the majority of people who will be viewing, will have. The people will also be elderly people, how might not be super web savy, and the download process might scare them away.
Is there away to have them download the player easily, without reading through pages of the macromedia site and having to figure things out? I would also like it if when the Macromedia page pops up to download, the window would be smaller in size than the window of the website they were on. I don't want the visitor to get confused and think they have left the original website to download the player.
Any help you can give to make this necessary download process as easy and unconfusing for visitors, would be very helpful. Thanks!
Kristi
