Hello im a novice in macrommedia flash, im making a site for now for our class i want to make some downloads in the site how can i create somethimg like that in a flash site?!? thamks in advance!!!

look up the getURL function in flash's reference panel. also compressing all the files you want to be downloaded will stop them from being opened in a new window.
